Barça Ready for Historic Game at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday
Barça revealed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga 30 months following their departure to allow renovations to start.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans can be present as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced finished work included an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.
Stadium Testing
Barça organized an open training session on the home pitch earlier this month. Officials stated they are seeking authorization by UEFA to host the next European match versus the German side next month at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
