Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield
A plane ferrying Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which verified that Hegseth was safe.
"The aircraft landed based on established safety measures and all passengers, among them Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative commented in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the Belgian capital during the flight.
This event does not mark the initial instance that a US military aircraft ferrying a high-ranking official has encountered mechanical issues.
Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was required to turn back to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical problem.
