Two Individuals Accused Regarding Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Incident
Two individuals are now facing charges following a luggage theft where a substance thought to be irritant spray resulted in harm at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.
These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their luggage taken after getting out of a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.
A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt in the event. Several persons went to hospital for treatment and were eventually allowed to go home.
The incident – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not considered a terror-related act – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
